The Chief Secretary of Nepal Leela Mani Paudyal visited the facility in Tasarpu following the earthquake in 2015. He also celebrated the repair of critical water infrastructure by ceremoniously breaking ground and laying a foundation stone with volunteers from the Food For People facility.

Ghana

The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) is expanding its Food for People programme in Ghana to serve nutritious daily meals to an additional 110 disadvantaged children.

The nutritious food provided by the kitchen is the obvious reason for the steady increase of students at the Otinibi Basic School. The number of students at the school has doubled to 700 since the adjacent Food for People kitchen opened in 2012. On January 29, a range of students, parents, and officials celebrated the grand opening of three new kindergarten classrooms that were badly needed to accommodate the increase.
